We are seeking Polywelder / Operators to join our onsite projects team on a 2:1 Roster, paid fortnightly. To be successful in this role you will need:A minimum of 2 years post qualified experience as a Polywelder.A minimum of 2 years of proven experience working as Polywelder in all aspects of butt and electro fusion welding in operator roles in relevant mine/construction sites.A minimum of 2 years' experience using a variety of Polywelding equipment and procedures specifically (McElroy -T618, T500, T900 and Dixon welder).A minimum of 1 years' experience operating on site.The ability to complete hydrotesting operations of HDPE.Self-efficient in welding operations with the ability to coordinate a small poly crew.Self-efficient in general earth works and can coordinate the team involved in the task at hand.Competent in interpreting HDPE and Civil construction drawings.BHP, RIO and FMG inducted (desirable).Essential tickets:A valid certificate in Polywelding (Butt Weld & Electrofusion or Extrusion welding) from an accredited institution within 2 years of conclusion date.Experience with both Dixon and McElroy.Valid Operating Tickets – Excavator and Loader.Chainsaw Ticket.Dogging Ticket.IT Loader.Excavator.C2 / C6 Crane Ticket.HR Drives Licence.Low Voltage Rescue (LVR) Training.Cardiopulmonary Perform Resuscitation (CPR) Training.Senior First Aid Training.Current High Risk Work Licence -Basic Rigging (RB), or Elevating Work Platforms (EWP).Chain of Responsibility – Drivers Training.Current and valid Telehandler Tickets.What UON can offer you:A corporate Health Cover Plan exclusive to UON employees.Training and Development programs (apprenticeship, traineeship, internal training).Career development opportunities working with some of the best in the industry.A fun, active social club.Only those with the unrestricted right to work in Australia will be considered.
