Today and tomorrow, we'll make sure our customers are ready for the moments that matter.Leads entire proposal generation activities between initial Pursue-No-Pursue (PnP) and Contract Award for all D&S opportunities. In collaboration with the rest of the capture team, produce and ensure that the executive summary, commercial, past performance, technical and management volumes accurately reflect the proposed solution and winning strategy for Sole Source or Competitive bids presenting medium level of complexity solutions and governance.Duties & ResponsibilitiesLead Proposal for Defense and Security (D&S) by providing leadership and guidance to deliver winning proposals on time and on budgetEstablish and communicate Proposal Schedule with clear milestones and assignees to ensure on-time deliveryReview customer Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposals (RFP) to extract winning themes and identify CAE discriminators that will increase the probability of winDefine bid strategy to address customer requirements in the most cost effective manner, while leveraging CAE core technologies and off the shelf productsIn collaboration with Business Development/Sales and Pricing, help define Price to Win (PTW)In collaboration with Engineering, derive Design to Cost (DTC) targets for each module / system / service and communicate the challenge to the organizationPrepare and deliver presentations to upper managementEnsure commonality, consistency and reuse across bidsPrepare Basis of Estimate (BoE) and comparable to validate estimated costsEnsure program risks are identified, quantified and recommend mitigation plansIn collaboration with Program Management (PM), prepare and challenge program schedulesNegotiate and validate workshare allocation between global CAE sites when working on joint Intercompany proposalsInterface directly and indirectly with customer to review/present/negotiate the proposal contentPeer Review estimated costs and proposal deliverablesDefine mid to long term strategies for future bids including outsourcing, off-shoring & partnership opportunitiesInvestigate tools and process changes to improve proposal accuracy & efficiencyRequirementsBachelor in a technical domain or equivalent experience, combined with previous experience/exposure to military aircraft, naval vessels, tactical system, synthetic environment and modelling & simulationMinimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in a high tech industryExcellent communication and presentation skillsResult orientedGood organizational skills and business acumenAbility to deal with ambiguity, customer focused, with excellent decision making and negotiation skillsAbility to work under pressure with tight deadlinesPrevious experience in government proposal writingPrevious experience with SalesforceBilingualism (French and English) is an assetBe able to hold required clearancesEligibility to work in AustraliaWhat CAE offers you:Opportunity to make a significant impact on Australian defence and securityExciting career paths in a truly global businessAccess to a brand new generous ADF Reserve Service PolicyCorporate discounts, such as Private Health Insurance and moreSecurity requirementsAs the Australian Department of Defence is a major client, you must be eligible for SECRET (NV1) level Defence security clearance, and preferably already hold a current SECRET (NV1) clearance.ApplicationsIf this role fits what you are looking for and you believe you have the necessary skills and experience, click 'Apply Now' and attach your resume.Position TypeRegularEqual Opportunity EmployerCAE is an equal-opportunity employer committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
