In line with their continued growth strategy in Australia, they are seeking a highly experienced Midmarket Property National Underwriting Manager to oversee and manage their midmarket property underwriting operations nationwide.Role Overview:This position is responsible for the strategic management of the midmarket property underwriting portfolio across Australia. You will lead a team of underwriters, ensuring adherence to corporate policies while driving profitable growth. The successful candidate will be expected to manage the distribution of underwriting services and maintain compliance with internal governance standards and external regulations. A strong emphasis will be placed on maintaining market competitiveness and optimizing relationships with key distribution partners.Key Responsibilities:Leadership and Oversight: Direct and manage a team of midmarket property underwriters, ensuring that all underwriting processes are executed efficiently and in accordance with company policy and risk management frameworks.Portfolio Management: Oversee the national midmarket property underwriting portfolio, with a focus on balancing risk exposure and profitability. Provide regular portfolio performance reports to senior management.Strategic Execution: Develop and implement underwriting strategies to ensure alignment with corporate objectives and market trends. You will be responsible for ensuring that all strategic initiatives support sustainable growth and market positioning.Distribution and Market Engagement: Maintain and strengthen relationships with key brokers, intermediaries, and other distribution channels. You will be tasked with identifying and pursuing opportunities for portfolio expansion and market penetration.Governance and Compliance: Ensure all underwriting activities comply with relevant governance frameworks, industry regulations, and company standards. You will also manage risk assessments and ensure ongoing adherence to legal and compliance requirements.Market Analysis and Innovation: Stay informed on market conditions, competitor strategies, and emerging trends within the midmarket property sector.
