Our mission is to provide excellence in Christ-centred education in partnership with families within a caring Christian community.
In doing this, we aim to prepare students thoroughly for further study, careers, service and life in general.
We are currently seeking to appoint one or more Student Wellbeing Team Members to commence in Term 1 next year.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a caring Christian environment and provide important assistance to the Chairo community in delivering high quality care and Christian education to our students.
Some key responsibilities will include the following:
Providing confidential pastoral care and guidance to studentsAssisting staff members with issues surrounding student behaviour, learning and socialisation within the schoolBuilding a positive, friendly rapport with relevant stakeholders such as parents, caregivers and other staff membersPlaying an active and distinctive role in the development of school wellbeing policies and processesThe successful candidates will possess the following qualifications, attributes and experience:
Training and/or experience in pastoral care, counselling or chaplaincyTraining in mental health (or willingness to obtain)Training and/or experience in education (desirable)Ability to build relationshipsAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesAbility to meet the current requirements of the National School Chaplaincy ProgrammeSuccessful applicants will need to be in agreement with and model Chairo's Statement of Faith.
