Core Talent are partnering with one of Australia's largest Energy Distributors who are seeking a Metering Product Development and Regulatory Manager.
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and strategic manager to join their dynamic team.
This exciting new role will focus on regulatory compliance, product development, market analysis, and stakeholder engagement, with a primary emphasis on metering and retailing within a B2B environment.
The ideal candidate will create and implement monthly governance frameworks, bring in-depth industry knowledge, strong analytical abilities, and a track record of successful product strategies.
Competitive Salary package - Fixed Annual Remuneration of up to $240,000 + 15% BonusAbility to join a collaborative and innovative work environment where your expertise will directly influence product development and regulatory strategy.Opportunities for career growth and professional development within a leading company in the Metering Sector.Responsibilities: Regulatory Compliance & Advocacy: Stay up-to-date with current and emerging laws, regulations, and codes impacting the energy industry, especially in metering and retailing.Interpret regulatory changes and integrate them into product development and business strategies.Engage with regulatory bodies and industry groups to advocate for policy changes that align with business goals and customer needs.Strategic Product Development: Identify market opportunities and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, commercial, and business development, to create innovative product strategies.Lead the development of new and improved metering products, ensuring they meet technical, regulatory, and market requirements.Manage the product development lifecycle, from concept to launch, coordinating timelines, resources, and budgets.Market Insight & Analysis: Monitor industry trends, customer feedback, and regulatory shifts to pinpoint growth opportunities and areas for product improvement.Analyse market data to shape actionable product and service strategies, aligning with both customer needs and regulatory frameworks.Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with customers, regulatory bodies, industry partners, and internal teams to ensure alignment and successful product outcomes.Gather and analyse customer insights to inform product design and service enhancements.About you: Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).In-depth knowledge of the metering industry, including market dynamics, customer needs, and regulatory environments.Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively advocate and engage with external stakeholders, such as regulatory bodies and industry groups.Proven ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and drive product development initiatives.Strong analytical skills with experience in market analysis and strategic product planning.Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Solid commercial acumen and experience in developing business cases and strategy.Previous experience in product management within the metering or utility sectors - desirableIf you are passionate about regulatory strategy, product innovation, and driving growth in the energy industry, we encourage you to apply for this exciting role
