Kalwun Development Corporation Ltd is an Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander community controlled organisation currently seeking to fill the following vacancy within our Seniors Services division.
Kalwun Seniors Services is a provider of the Commonwealth Home Support Programme and Home Care Packages, and runs a day respite Wellness Centre.

This newly created position will lead and mentor a team of Care Advisors and oversee the Kalwun Seniors Services funded programs including Commonwealth Home Support, Home Care Packages, and National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Flexible Aged Care Program.
Position Duties Lead and mentor Care Advisors, fostering a culture of inclusion, continuous improvement, and positive staff engagement.Oversee Kalwun Seniors funded programs to ensure culturally safe service delivery and client care in line with best practice standards.
(CHSP, HCP, NATSIFAC)Conduct and participate in regular team meetings, one on one check-ins and lead complex client case discussions.Oversee client budgets and sustainability of clients funding, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to budgets and/or funding allocations.Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies and procedures.Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on team performance and client outcomes.Address and resolve complex client cases including the provision of recommendations with a focus on respect for culture, identity and reablement of clients.Oversee performance, quality standards, WH&S and welfare of the team.Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, working closely with other departments and external partners.Build and maintain relationships with community partners, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders.Promote the organisation's services within the community through outreach, education, and advocacy.Participate in community events and initiatives when required.Tertiary qualifications in Community Services or Social Work preferred.Experience within Aged Care Community Services or a related industry with 2 years' minimum work experience in the field or similar.Strong understanding of Aged Care or Health funding, policies and procedures.Comprehensive knowledge of aged care service systems and relevant government policies.Excellent communication, management and team leadership skills.Able to work independently and in a team environment.What we offer
