About The Role We are seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced Learning Support Officers for a full time, fixed term contract position located at our Gilles Plains campus.
This role will focus on support for primary level students.
The Learning Support Officer will work as an integral part of our Inclusive Education Department in a range of classroom and student support activities which contribute to the achievement of literacy and numeracy based outcomes of students in the school.
Responsibilities Provide classroom support to students with diverse learning needsWork with classroom teachers to support the development of differentiated learning activities and assessmentsImplement strategies and provide feedback to the Inclusive Education Coordinator and classroom teachersMonitor student progress and adjust support strategies as necessaryDevelop positive relationships with students, parents, and staffAttend and participate in relevant professional development to maintain up-to-date knowledge and understanding of learning support practicesRequirements Essential Criteria Certificate III or higher in Education Support or similarExperience working with students who have additional learning needsA passion for inspiring students to learnWell-developed interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivityFlexibility and an ability to work collaborativelyAbility to work with a variety of IT software platformsA commitment to the mission, vision, and core values of the CollegeWorking with Children CheckChild Safety Statement Pinnacle College is committed to child safety.We want children to be safe, happy and empowered.We support and respect all children, as well as our staff and volunteers.We are committed to the safety, participation and empowerment of all children.We have zero tolerance of child harm, and all allegations and safety concerns will be treated very seriously and consistently with our robust policies and procedures.We have legal and moral obligations to contact authorities when we are worried about a child's safety, which we follow rigorously.Benefits Location: Gilles Plains
