Head of Production & Sourcing

As the Head of Production & Sourcing, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our client's production team.
You will lead the development and execution of the production strategy, overseeing all aspects of the production function, including margin optimisation, lead time management, compliance, quality control and logistics.
This position offers a mix of strategic thinking, operational expertise and team leadership.
You will be managing production operations across China, Bangladesh, Vietnam and Cambodia.
Your extensive experience in international production management will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our client's global supply chain.
With your supportive leadership mindset, you will empower and inspire your team to achieve exceptional results.
Key responsibilities include: Elevating and protecting high standards of product qualityLeading a team of 5 professionals, that oversee a large volume of orders spanning apparel, footwear and accessories categoriesManaging factory compliance, from onboarding to audits and inspectionsCultivating and nurturing strong supplier relationships, expanding the current supply chain while protecting its integrityCollaborating closely with the Product Development team on sourcing, fits, costings and approvalsOverseeing the fit process, ensuring efficient communication and seamless collaborationChampioning compliance and testing efforts related to fabric / garment performance and restricted substancesMastering critical path management, conducting weekly production meetings with your direct reports and the product teamActing as the primary point of contact for all supplier communicationDeveloping and maintaining a comprehensive supplier manual, ensuring suppliers are up to date with the latest informationCollaborating with the Sourcing Manager to execute a robust global sourcing strategyManaging seasonal production capacities with key partners, ensuring smooth operations and timely deliveryTo excel in this role, you'll need: A proven track record in a Head of Production role within a high-volume apparel / fashion retailerWell-established networks with overseas factories and suppliersStrong production and technical knowledge, enabling you to make informed decisionsExceptional leadership skills with a passion for mentoring and developing othersOutstanding negotiation abilities, allowing you to secure the best deals for the companyYou'll be part of a collaborative team environment where your ideas and contributions are valued.
