About the role We're seeking a Procurement Manager - Operational Technology to lead end-to-end procurement across our cutting-edge technology categories.
You'll join an innovative team passionate about shaping the future of urban mobility through advanced transportation technologies.
As our Procurement Manager, you'll manage procurement for critical systems like Tolling, Surveillance, and Communications, developing category plans, leading negotiations, and forging strategic partnerships.
Your expertise will drive cost savings and align procurement with our business goals, making a significant impact on our operational technology solutions.
Day-to-day, you will: Develop and implement enterprise-wide category management strategies for Operational Technology spend.Lead end-to-end sourcing processes, including stakeholder engagement, RF(x) management, and contract finalization.Identify sourcing opportunities and execute activities to meet or exceed cost-saving targets.Conduct regular strategic analysis of supplier spend across Operational Technology categories.Gather market intelligence to understand industry trends and their impact on Transurban.Develop strategic relationships with internal clients to align category management solutions with business needs.Implement and manage supplier performance reviews for key Operational Technology category suppliers.Contribute to the development of Procurement policies, practices, and governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with company policies.This role will suit someone with: Bachelor's degree (preferably in business or operations) with in-depth sourcing experience, ideally in Technology-related fields.Proven track record in managing major spend categories, with superior knowledge of the entire sourcing process and proficiency in technology-based systems, including spend analytics.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with commercial acumen and the ability to negotiate substantial contracts and navigate complex business and legal terms.Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.Demonstrated ability to contribute to the evolution of supply chain processes and continuous improvement of strategic sourcing and category management programs, with a focus on achieving overall business goals.If you meet some of these requirements, but not all, we encourage you to submit your application.
