Your Opportunity:On 6 October 2020, as part of the Federal Budget announcement, Queensland Health was awarded $75.2 million from the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) 'Enabling Infrastructure for Rural, Regional and Remote Clinical Trials' initiative for 'The Australian Teletrial Program - access to clinical trials closer to home'.
The Program will implement the Australasian Teletrial Model (ATM) and includes the establishment of Regional Clinical Trial Coordinating Centres (RCCCs) in each partner State and Territory.
The Queensland RCCC will be located at Townsville HHS and reach rural, regional and remote communities across Queensland, as well as having the potential to link into clinical trials across Australia.
The Queensland RCCC will provide a state-wide service, initially supporting all Queensland HHS clinical trial sites to participate in this project, where relevant, through the teletrial model.
The purpose of this role is two-fold: to champion the Australian Teletrial Program, implement the ATM, and act as the central point of contact for teletrials within the HHS to support access to, and participation in, clinical trials for rural, regional and remote patients in Queenslandto undertake the role of Clinical Research Coordinator, where required, to support conducting clinical trials implemented under the ATM delivering clinical trials to regional, rural and remote patients in Modified Monash Model categories 3-7.What CHQ HHS can offer Apart from contributing to the development of Australia's best paediatric health service, you will also benefit from a competitive remuneration package and a working environment which embraces professional development, builds capabilities, and supports staff to maximise their health and wellbeing.
