About the role A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced Community Services Manager to oversee our home-based services, day program, and wellness center.
You will be accountable for service coordination, operational planning, budgeting, staff development, and compliance with all relevant legislation and standards.
The role also plays a key part in fostering relationships with clients, families, and external stakeholders to ensure services are consistently delivered with quality and compassion.
Key Responsibilities Drive business development by strengthening and expanding the business and proactively engaging with potential clients.Deliver high-quality person-centered services across multiple service streams, including Home Care Packaged (HCP) and Commonwealth Support Program (CHSP).Role model company values and take action to create the desired culture.Manage day-to-day service operations to ensure best practice care and exceptional customer service is provided.Ensure employees understand their roles and responsibilities and perform at the expected level.Responsible for workforce levels, scope of practice, and rosters, maintaining agreed budget parameters and appropriate benchmarks.Monitor and manage financial performance, review and provide departmental budgets.Build rapport with and advocate for clients and families, to enable their choice and decision-making.Work directly with key and relevant external and internal stakeholders.Promote and ensure awareness of WHS standards and risk management protocols.Willingness to be on-call after hours for emergencies.Skills you'll need to succeed Diploma in Community Services or equivalent tertiary qualificationExtensive (>5 years) experience in a leadership/management positionBroad experience with the home-based or community services delivery models (Aged Care or NDIS)Effective communication skills and the ability to engage and influence all stakeholders, including employees, residents, and familiesExcellent relationship development, negotiation, communication, and presentation skillsHigh-level management skills including financial, human resource, risk, compliance, and qualityKnowledge of Aged Care Quality StandardsWhat you will get in return Excellent salary and packaging benefits (Fringe Benefit Tax)A vibrant workplace culture with a strong sense of community and inclusionOngoing mentorship and support from the Executive teamAt Bankstown City Aged Care, we value our people and know our employees are vital to the success of our business.
