Our Community Development team in Maroochydore is currently seeking a Structural Engineer to join and contribute to the growth and success of our team.
This role will suit a candidate who is attracted to the Stantec culture and project variety in a day-to-day sense, whilst having the opportunity to develop their career within a global business, as part of a successful and well-regarded team.
The Structural Engineer will support the civil design team in a variety of projects across a number of locations across Southeast Queensland.
Day to day tasks would involve:
Structural elements of large civil projects including small bridges, retaining walls, stormwater and wastewater pits, drainage pits, retaining walls and culverts.
Large scale asset maintenance and condition assessment.
Scoping, design and construction support.
Providing up to date knowledge of construction methods and materials, and their impact on design/construction.
Delivery of practical and innovative engineering solutions for clients.
Collaborating across disciplines to deliver a complete solution to a project.
Ensuring technical work and design calculations are of the highest standard.
About you:
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering.
Demonstrated 5-10 years structural design experience.
Ideally experienced within a consulting environment.
Experience using a palette of structural materials.
Familiarity with the current Australian design codes.
Familiarity with the analysis, design, reporting and presentation.
Written and verbal communication skills.
