Unilin | Infrastructure Systems Consultant

As an Infrastructure Systems Consultant, you will be responsible for the management and support of backend infrastructure components.
This can be split into two major parts: daily maintenance, monitoring, and support of the existing infrastructure, and the implementation of new infrastructure projects and components.
In order to do this successfully, you'll be working in a team of infrastructure specialists, each specialized in their own area, but with a good knowledge of each other's tasks.
You will be an expert in your area of expertise and, as such, are able to work on your own as well as with other team members when required.
You're always looking for operational & security improvements to the existing infrastructure and are striving to further expand your technical knowledge.
A training plan will be made and necessary courses will be foreseen to help you stay up to date.
For projects with a global impact, you'll be working together with foreign colleagues, which may include occasional travel to the US or other countries.
This role reports to the Team Manager Core IT Services.
Main areas of activities: Installation, maintenance, and support of:Server infrastructure and related software componentsStorage and backup solutionsCentral datacenter and de-central server roomsServer VirtualizationCloud (Azure)Monitoring ToolsWork on IS Infrastructure related projects:
Provide 3rd line support for operational / support teamsPropose technical changes and improvements to IS Infrastructure Solutions Team membersSupport SOX processes with your good administration skillsFocus on continuous improvementCreate high-quality technical or process documentationYou will work in a high-performance and technology-challenging environment.
