Position OverviewThe client is seeking a dedicated, proactive, and energetic team player to fill a full-time position for an experienced Logistics & Inventory Coordinator to coordinate the distribution of stock and ensure optimum stock levels are maintained at all times.
In this full-time position, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the supply chain by:
Coordinating the distribution of stockOptimizing inventory levelsSupporting the car accessories divisionYour expertise will help My Car maintain a seamless flow of premium seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats, and other accessories to meet the needs of customers across Australia.
As a proactive and dedicated professional, you will be responsible for monitoring stock levels, managing inventory accuracy, and liaising with suppliers and internal teams to guarantee timely replenishment of stock.
Minimum Requirements:Relevant bachelor degree or formal qualifications in Logistics and Inventory ManagementAt least two years of commercial or practical experience in the area of logistics and inventory managementKey Accountabilities:Develop supply chain end-to-end planning competency with a focus on process thinking, people leadership, and department managementDetermine, implement, and monitor purchasing, storage, and distribution strategies, policies, and plansPrepare and implement plans to maintain required stock levels at minimum costEnsure optimal supply timing, minimizing processing errors and preventing end-of-line delivery issuesIdentify alternatives for logistic & 3/4PL providersMonitor distribution expenses on a regular basisNegotiate contracts with suppliers to meet quality, cost, and delivery requirementsMonitor and review storage and inventory systems to meet supply requirements and control stock levelsManage supplier relationships, onboarding vendor processes, contracts negotiation, and certifications to meet quality requirementsLiaise with other departments and customers concerning requirements for outward goods and associated forwarding transportationAnalyse and prepare stock reports (i.e., stock on hand, short expiry, slow movers, estimations of back in stock items)Customer Relationship Management with Logistics associates at Distributors and Freight forwarding agentsLead stock review meetings and review sales forecastsReview and develop processes and procedures that will continually improve all supply and distribution functions and stock control at minimum costCreate an environment of shared leadership, promote people strategies, and lead continuous improvement initiativesTo be considered for this role you must have:Ability to effectively manage suppliesAbility to excel within a cross-functional team environmentStrong strategic thinking, initiative, and leadership skillsStrategic setting and analytical skillsConfidence with compliance issues, local legislation, company policies, and proceduresExcellent influencing and negotiation skills and ability to work multi-dimensionally in a complex business environmentPlease note only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
