Position Title: Accounting StaffReports To: Finance ManagerEmployment Type: Full-Time/Part-Time
Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Staff member to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the financial operations of the company by maintaining accurate records, preparing payroll, and assisting with general accounting tasks.
This role is critical in ensuring compliance with financial regulations and contributing to the smooth operation of our financial systems.
Key Responsibilities Payroll Preparation and Administration Accurately calculate and process payroll on a regular schedule.
Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, including the preparation of payroll-related tax forms (e.g., PAYG, superannuation, etc.).
Maintain and update employee payroll records, including leave balances and deductions.
Address payroll inquiries from employees in a timely and professional manner.
General Accounting Duties Record and maintain financial transactions in the accounting system.
Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and payments.
Assist in reconciling bank statements and other financial accounts.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliation.
Reporting and Compliance Prepare financial reports, including budgets, expense tracking, and variance analysis.
Assist in ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Administrative Support Maintain organized financial records and documentation.
Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes.
Provide support for other finance-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications and Skills Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience: Minimum of (Insert Number) years of accounting experience, with payroll expertise preferred.
Experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, or MYOB).
Skills: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Knowledge of payroll systems and regulations.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Job Types: Full-time, Casual
Pay: $47,138.70 – $99,551.00 per year
