This senior position is responsible for facilitating the PMO Centre of Excellence and Portfolio Management functions.
This includes promoting a culture of transparency and continuous improvement, training and educating staff across all levels sharing best practices, and enabling effective prioritisation, governance, and resource allocation to meet strategic objectives.Reporting to the Coordinator - Project and Change Management Office, this role will deliver the PMO Operating Model and Charter and is expected to show a high degree of initiative and independence.What's on offer :a base salary ranging from $115,562 per annum with competency-based increments up to $128,493 per annum, plus 11.5% super70 hour, 9 day fortnight2 years maximum-term contracttraining and development opportunitiesflexible work options for a healthy work / life balancegenerous employment conditions (we have too many to list - click here for more).We are seeking :Ability to provide tailored guidance, advice and training to Council staff and executives in the implementation and use of project and portfolio management frameworks, processes, and systems.Strong program and project management abilities in order to develop, maintain and continuously improve Council's project and portfolio management frameworks, processes and systems.Highly developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to create consensus, resolve disputes and broker agreement to proposals and ideas.Exceptional organisational skills to effectively develop and administer training and mentoring programs.Excellent communication and change management skills to engage colleagues and management in adoption of Council's project and portfolio management frameworks, processes, and systems.Highly developed written communication skills including the ability to write in a clear, fluent, and concise manner.About us :Located on the picturesque far North Coast of NSW, bordering the Gold Coast.The Tweed is a vibrant, diverse location offering a lifestyle near the water, in a rainforest or on a farm.Tweed Shire Council is committed to employment equity and diversity and encourages applications from people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds in both traditional and non-traditional roles.
