Restaurant Manager

Al Dente Enoteca Pty Ltd in Carlton, Melbourne is looking for a full-time Restaurant Manager to join the team.
You'll be working closely with the owners, chefs, General Manager, and leading our team of young, passionate hospitality professionals.
Ideally, we are looking for a candidate with 2+ years experience in a similar role.
Your duties will include the following:
Managing and coordinating the day-to-day restaurant operations Collaborating with our head chef to plan seasonal menus and specials Managing special functions and events Auditing inventory levels to ensure stock availability Liaising with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing to maximise profits; we will set KPI's for front of house staff to reach, which will be managed and pushed by you
Identifying stock shortages and liaising with suppliers, placing goods orders and reviewing quality of products delivered Training new and current restaurant staff Managing front of house staff, including rostering and assisting with performance reviews Enforcing adherence to hygiene and occupational health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment Ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of dining areas Ensuring the restaurant facilities are maintained in good working order Maintaining and ensuring high levels of customer service (we are passionate about building community)
Communicating with diners to ensure their satisfaction with their dining experience Managing and recording all financial transactions Liaising with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations in the restaurant Taking reservations Your application will include the following questions:
