Yard Forklift Operator

The role We are looking for an experienced and reliable forklift/ picker operator, with the drive to learn the operations of our business.
As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement and despatch of masonry products.
A key element to this position is working together as an integral member of the yard team.
We realise the importance of developing our team and if you display the desire to develop and progress your career with Adbri Masonry, you will be offered opportunities.
This full time permanent role will require flexibility to work varying start times to cover the current yard operational hours of 7am – 7pm with shifts of between 8-10 hours
Responsibilities Ensure safety, health and environment standards are maintainedFollow correct work procedures at all timesOperation of forklifts for the movement of goods to/from the work areaPack and make up customer orders and prepare for transportQuality Assurance and packaging of outgoing goodsEnsure yard and inventory is maintained in a neat and orderly fashionFollowing established procedures for documenting and/or reporting work performed, hazards, incidentsGeneral labouring dutiesBasic maintenance of forklifts, plant and equipment in the work areaWhat you will need to succeed Self motivation and a willingness to learnAbility to communicate confidently with various staffEnsure safety, health and environment standards are maintainedLoad and unload trucks safely and accuratelyMove palletised masonry products within the factory and yardComplete basic documentation associated with the dispatch of ordersMake up orders using appropriate manual handling techniquesUndertake general housekeeping and cleaningKnowledge and compliance of Chain of Responsibility regulationsOur business Adbri Masonry is Australia's leading concrete products manufacturer supplying quality concrete bricks, blocks, pavers, retaining walls, erosion control products and architectural masonry solutions.
