About the role
As a Hotel Accountant, you will take ownership of the full spectrum of accounting responsibilities for three hotels within our portfolio.
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will play a vital role in driving operational excellence by overseeing financial reporting, managing costs, and ensuring accurate and compliant record-keeping.
Specifically, your role will involve:
Post and review operational journals, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.Prepare and distribute reports, including revenue, payroll tracking, F&B cost of sales, and banking journals.Perform bank reconciliations and manage GST reconciliation, addressing unresolved items or discrepancies.Oversee GP payments, maintain sufficient working capital, and process Payroll Tax and BAS submissions.Coordinate month-end closing, including journal postings, expense reviews, and balance sheet reconciliations.Prepare financial statements and maintain accurate records for management, owners, and capital projects.What are we looking for? Experience working within the finance team in a hotel or hospitality industry is an advantage.Proficiency, at an intermediate to advanced level, with computers and computer programs, including Microsoft programs (Excel and Word).Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail.Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.Ability to be flexible with working days during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end.What will it be like to work for Hilton?
