Add expected salary to your profile for insightsEnerven specialises in the design, construction, and maintenance of electrical, telecommunications, and renewable infrastructure, with specific expertise and experience relating to South Australia's distribution and transmission network infrastructure.Working at Enerven, you will play a major role in building and transforming the infrastructure which will revolutionise the energy industry and create a more sustainable future for all Australians.At Enerven, we're focussed on connecting you with tomorrow.The Role:The Principal Electrical Engineer is responsible for providing design, studies and project support, along with the expertise and technical authority for Enerven's substation and renewables program.A key part of this role will be to mentor and develop engineers within the Electrical Engineering discipline, along with leading the development and delivery of processes, procedures and templates to improve the efficiency and quality of engineering output. You will also be responsible for reviewing engineering deliverables and providing technical authority sign off, and being project lead when required.Provide Electrical Engineering support & expertise in the area of renewables including large scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).Produce engineering deliverables, develop & maintain Technical Authority/ expertise of the nature:Single Line Diagrams & General ArrangementsLighting & Lightning designEarthing design & commissioningHV/ LV cable designsPV design & calculations – PVSystInduction/ EMF StudiesInsulation Co-ordination StudiesAC/DC maximum demandsHV Primary Plant specification & selectionSubstation Auxiliary Systems (DC system, AC and UPS)Lead, Mentor and develop other electrical engineers/ graduate engineers and undergraduate engineers.Deliver processes, procedures, and templates to improve the efficiency and quality of engineering designs for Renewables projects.As required act as a Design Lead for the engineering & design project team.Ensure compliance of design with relevant design standards, regulations & Australian StandardsImplement Value engineering initiatives throughout the project lifecycleProvide site-based engineering support as needed through construction & commissioning.To be successful in this role, you will have:Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng)Project and Design Leadership / Management experienceAbility to travel intrastate, interstate or internationallyAbility to work out of hours when requiredHelp us share in a brighter future with Enerven in a key role with a great supportive team, vibrant culture with genuine career development opportunities available.
