We have an opportunity for an experienced Health and Safety Officer at our client's mine site in Queensland's Central Highlands Region.
This Full-Time opportunity is on a 9 days on, 5 days off roster with Fly-In-Fly-out from Brisbane or Drive-In-Drive-Out for a local candidate.
In this high-performance environment, you will achieve success by consulting with stakeholders on a regular basis while tenaciously driving performance delivery.
As you will be in constant contact with senior executives and external representatives, you will display polished presentation and communication abilities.
Key ResponsibilitiesEnsuring compliance with the clients and ISS HSEQ policies, procedures and management systemsDiscussing, monitoring and assisting in the staff in the safe delivery of onsite activitiesDevelopment and delivery of Safety and toolbox meetingsUndertaking and advising on safety auditsAssisting, implementing and monitoring return to work programsCoaching and mentoring staff on HSEQ processesProvision of sound technical adviceIdentification of and facilitation of best practice standards and solutionsAssisting with Incident investigations and preparation of safety reportsAssisting the Site Safety Manager with their daily tasksProviding on-site expertise for all on Health and Safety mattersManage the environmental portfolio covering all legislative and contractual requirementsOur BenefitsAll flights to and from site, and all meals and accommodation whilst onsite paid forCompetitive Salary and company discountsValues based positive company culture, with a caring and energetic team.Purposeful and rewarding work with a competitive salary.Access to staff discounts with a wide range of companiesOngoing learning and development opportunitiesInternal opportunities within our global organizationMinimum CriteriaCertificate IV OH&S or higherKnowledge of safety systems and databasesDemonstrated knowledge of relevant OH&S legislationRelevant industry experience as a HSE AdvisorMust have Environmental backgroundAbility to undertake regular travel to site as per FIFO roster.Current Coal Board Medical and Pre-Employment Functional Assessment or willing to obtainCurrent Standard 11 Certificate or willing to obtainTo apply for this role please click on the 'apply' link and complete the online application.
