What do we do: Iron Underground is a well-equipped facility dedicated to strength training. As Brisbane's original powerlifting gym, Iron Underground enjoys a great reputation and is centrally located in Albion, less than 10 minutes from the CBD, ensuring great accessibility to a high number of potential clients.
We cater to serious individuals who want to improve their strength and physique through dedicated resistance training. Iron Underground has a limited membership, adding to the gym's hard training atmosphere, as the individuals that train with us are highly motivated and friendly.
What makes our gym special: Iron Underground has a unique place within the strength training and powerlifting community, actively participating in competitions and producing athletes, and is well recognized within Queensland. This creates an excellent sense of community and a highly motivated environment for personal training sessions, leading to excellent client retention and results.
It is a great place to work because everyone who comes to the gym is on the same path regarding training and is highly committed to getting results. We have excellent energy at this gym, characterized by positivity, hard work, and support for one another.
What sets the gym apart from others: The excellent community we have built over the years. The large, exceptional training space available to the strength coach/personal trainer allows for a more private and personal atmosphere, enabling trainers to maximize their sessions with clients and develop excellent relationships with their athletes/clients.
There's more than enough high-quality equipment available to ensure training sessions flow seamlessly, allowing trainers to utilize the right equipment to achieve better results for their clients. Overall, the training experience here is very personal and motivating, which our clients evidently value, as shown by their long, loyal retention rates.
Job Description:
Position: Personal Trainer / Strength Coach (contractor)
We are seeking professionals who share our passion for training and can deliver results for clients. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to utilize the gym 7 days a week, full-time, to build a busy client schedule. There will be a weekly rental fee of $225, and trainers can conduct sessions, charging their own rates with their clients, who can come and go as they please without any further cost except for what they pay you as their trainer, which is at your discretion. Recommended rates may vary between $90-120 per hour, depending on what you can charge
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Conduct personal training sessions professionally, providing first-class customer service to your clients.
Run your own personal training business within the facility.
Maintain cleanliness by cleaning weights after use.
Ensure clients are trained safely with good technique.
Maintain a reasonable degree of fitness and strength, and present yourself well as a great example of the gym's objectives.
Qualifications and Experience: Certificate IV in Fitness is required; no experience is necessary, although it is preferred. If you already have existing clients you'd like to bring here, that would be ideal.
