Solutions Architect

The Solutions Architect plays a critical role in the sales process, bridging the gap between technical expertise and customer needs. This role will work with the sales team, prospective clients, and internal stakeholders to design, demonstrate, and present tailored network and cybersecurity solutions to meet the unique needs of our customers. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of network architecture, cybersecurity principles, and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with sales teams and customers to understand business and technical requirements.Design customised network and cybersecurity solutions that align with customer needs and objectives.Create detailed technical information for proposals, including architecture diagrams, solutions documentation, and integration plans.Presentations:Deliver solution demonstrations and presentations to customers, highlighting the benefits and technical features of solutions.Proof of Concept (PoC) & Evaluations:Conduct Proof of Concept (PoC) engagements to showcase the effectiveness of solutions in real-world scenarios.Work with engineering and Vendor teams to set up PoC environments, troubleshoot issues, and ensure successful evaluations.Play a key role in the creation of responses to Requests for Tender providing technical expertise and ensuring alignment with customer requirements.Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, taking direction from key sales team members, to ensure the solutions meet their needs and address potential concerns.Act as a trusted advisor, building technical relationships in key accounts and opportunities.Address customer technical inquiries during the sales process and propose viable technical solutions.Experience and Qualifications:Experience:3+ years of experience with demonstrated success in pre-sales role in a similar organisation.Hands-on experience with network infrastructure and security products, including routers, switches, firewalls, SIEM, endpoint security, Network security, and cloud security solutions.Hands-on experience with Fortinet, preferred experience with Check Point, Juniper.Commercial:Solid commercial understanding and ability to grasp commercial concepts, including budgets, ROI, TCO.Technical Skills + Certifications:Fundamental understanding of network security industry.Broad skillset with an excellent knowledge of network protocols and network security best practices.Experience with cyber security solutions including firewalls, email and endpoint security, SIEM, SASE, EDR/MDR/TDR.Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, Essential 8.Fortinet, Check Point, Juniper, and Industry Certifications Preferred.Communication & Presentation Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information in a clear, concise, and compelling manner. Experience presenting to senior technical and business leaders, and translating customer needs into actionable technical solutions.Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills:Strong problem-solving abilities, with a track record of identifying technical challenges and offering innovative solutions. Team player with the ability to work independently driving internal collaboration with SMEs as required to ensure customer success.Travel:Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites, trade shows, and industry events as needed.
