Information Security Analyst/Specialist

Salary: $150k - $170k incl. Super
Join an exciting opportunity as an Information Security Analyst/Specialist in Melbourne, where you will work directly with the CIO and Head of and take ownership of the information security function.
This hybrid role offers a broad focus across security domains, with an emphasis on SIEM, vulnerability management, and leading ISO 27001 and Essential 8 initiatives. You will also collaborate with an external managed SOC. Sydney and Brisbane candidates are also welcome to apply.
About the role:Lead and contribute to SIEM configuration, analysis, and incident response.Manage vulnerability assessments and remediation efforts across the enterprise.Lead ISO 27001 certification activities and compliance initiatives.Drive the implementation of Essential 8 controls across the organisation.Collaborate with the CIO, internal teams, and an external managed SOC to enhance the organisation's security posture.About you:A minimum of 5-6 years of experience in IT, with at least 3-4 years in information security engineering and/or analysis.Strong background in IT, preferably with experience in systems engineering (not essential).Hands-on experience with SIEM tools, vulnerability management, and security operations.In-depth understanding of ISO 27001, Essential 8, and other security frameworks.Proactive, collaborative, and able to thrive in an environment where you can make your mark, hybrid work environment.If you are an experienced and broadly skilled security engineer/analyst with drive and ambition to shape the security function of a leading Australian business, please Apply NOW.
