Lead Project Support Officer Location: Cairns
Security Clearance: Due to the Security Clearance required for this role, applicants must be an Australian Citizen and eligible to obtain and uphold a Baseline Security Clearance.

The Lead Project Support Officer is responsible for the development and performance of the Project Support Officer capability and the resource allocation to projects.
The Lead Project Support Officer will work closely with the Project / Ship Manager to monitor and develop the performance of Project Support Officers.
What's Involved: Mentor and coach PSOs to support professional development and performance outcomesCoordinate allocation of Project Support Officers to projects in handLiaise with key project stakeholders, both internal and external to ensure processes are developed, understood, and followed to support team outcomesYou'll Need: Essential: Hold a Construction safety induction (white card)Ability to gain Baseline Security Clearance (Australian Citizen)Diploma in Business Office Administration and/or demonstrable relevant experience working in an administrative/project support roleExcellent time management and organisational skills with a demonstrated ability to work to tight deadlines whilst managing multiple projectsWell-developed interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to build effective relationships and liaise across all levels internally and externallyProficient in IFS or a similar ERP systemAdvanced knowledge and competency in Microsoft Office suite with high attention to detail and accuracyDesirable: Excellent presentation skills to develop and deliver training modules to other business units that interact with the Project Support OfficersCertificate in Project Management or demonstrable relevant experience with Project ManagementWhy Austal: Competitive compensation and benefits packageProfessional development and training opportunitiesA supportive and dynamic work environmentOpportunities for career advancement within our growing organisationOur global team is guided by a universal set of values that describe the focus of our efforts.
