Fluid Power AU is a rapidly growing engineering business that specialises in the design, service and supply of hydraulic equipment to the Mining, Oil & Gas and Defence industries in the Northern Territory.
We have an opportunity for a Workshop Supervisor to join our Management Team.
The opportunity will involve:
Leadership of a small team of trades persons and apprentices Coordinate the 'day to day' project and ad-hoc work flow for both 'site based' and workshop activities Technical support for all staff Collating project specific Quality Management documentation Quoting and estimating Project Specific customer interactions Interact with Engineering staff on project specific work Detailed report writing Deliver task based training for apprentices The ideal candidate will possess:
Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical) Trade Qualification (Fitter / Machinist) Leadership qualities in 'house-keeping' and safety Knowledge of hydraulic systems is desirable Detailed knowledge of Boilermaking desirable Excellent customer skills and an appreciation for the importance of 'repeat business' opportunities Dedicated to delivering a quality product and a quality service Solutions driven focus backed up with a 'thinking outside of the square' approach Sound understanding of workshop efficiencies and cost structures Ability to schedule and prioritise workflow for a small team of trades personnel and apprentices Ability to multi-task and balance multiple priorities that are 'service industry' typical Enthusiastic approach to imparting your knowledge on to your younger and less experienced team Excellent Computer Skills particularly MS Office Suite Excellent technical report writing abilities Passion for continued learning and personal (professional) development Fluid Power AU is a small busy team who work hard to exceed customer expectations.
