The residential support worker will provide support, advocacy, and day-to-day skill building in relation to clients' case plan goals within our rooming house accommodation.
The ideal candidate will assist in the operations of McAuley House Ballarat and its residents to overcome the devastation of homelessness and family violence.
The residential support worker will also support clients to lead the weekly community lunch.
This role is subject to an EEO exemption to accept applications from women only.

This is a part-time role that will function during business hours only.
This is a Permanent Part-Time (23 hours per week) opportunity based in Ballarat within our Community Services program.
The position reports to the team leader Ballarat. Requirements of the role include: Direct resident supportLight cleaning duties including room turnoverDonation collection and organisation (some lifting required)Weekly food preparation, organisation, and cooking of community lunchShopping for household items as requiredKey Selection Criteria: To be successful in this role, you will have:
Certificate or diploma qualification in social work, community services, community development, or a related field.Demonstrated ability to work with women and children facing a range of complex challenges in relation to family violence, homelessness, health and mental health, drug and alcohol use, trauma, and marginalisation.The ability to apply a flexible, inclusive, non-judgmental, and empowering approach to practice and service delivery.Please address the full Key Selection Criteria outlined in the PD as part of your application.
