Laser Operator / Machine Operator - Day & Afternoon ShiftThe Role:Immediate vacancy for Day and Afternoon Machine operator/Fibre Laser Cutter on one of our client's new fibre laser cutters.
You will be working with the other machine operators in a strong and supportive team.Our Client is a diversified supply chain manufacturer of complex sheet metal componentry, providing innovative solutions to general and specialised engineering.
Key Responsibilities: Operate laser-cutting machinesUndertake QA checksDe-tag and deburr finished product as requiredLabel and store finished products and pack as requiredOperate a forklift to load, unload, and store materialsPerform manual loading and unloading of suitable materialsFollow WHS guidelines and company policies and standardsSkills, Experience and Attributes: CNC Press Brake experiencePrior Machine Operator/ Fibre Laser CutterValid and Current Forklift licenseExperience in operating lasers (Delem or 3KW) control experience preferredGood level of communication and computer skillsProven ability to work in a team environment and follow instructionsAbility to read and understand basic technical drawingsPrevious experience operating laser-cutting equipmentA positive, can-do attitudeStrong attention to detailCleaning of work area and toolsAd hoc tasks as directed by the Operations ManagerMaterials handlingAn industry background in engineering, fabrication, or laser/plasma cutting would give you a good grounding to be successful in this jobWorkshop hours are 7:00 am to 3:00 pm Monday to Friday.
Afternoon shift is 3:30 pm to 11:30 pm.
Overtime is available when required.
