Occupational Therapist Senior, Cairns and Hinterland HHS - CairnsAbout the Role:The Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service covers a large geographic area with a diverse and growing population. The Health Service provides a wide range of primary care, acute and specialist services.Our staff are a part of the community we serve, and we strongly believe that health outcomes are enhanced by involving our community in the planning and evaluation of local health services.Responsibilities:Knowledge of, or ability to quickly acquire and apply knowledge of relevant applications, including:Consumer Integrated Mental Health Application (CIMHA);Risk Man;Hospital Base Client Information System (HBCIS); andEmergency Department Information System (EDIS).Deliver high level occupational therapy clinical services (including assessment, planning and treatment) within a multidisciplinary team with prescribed professional and ethical standards in accordance with evidence-based practice and effective risk management.As a senior clinician, provide high level communication on a daily basis to consumers, families and colleagues regarding complex occupational therapy service delivery, equipment, technology and the prioritisation and development of clinical services to promote optimal delivery of health services.Provide clinical practice supervision, mentoring, and education to less experienced occupational therapy practitioners/students in MHAODS to ensure the maintenance of professional clinical standards within designated work units.Benefits:Competitive remunerationSalary packagingAnnual incremental increasesCareer training and developmentWellness programsVaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) evidence as required for your employment in accordance with legislation/government policy and Directives.For more information about this role, please refer to the attached Role Description.
