Nestled amidst Sydney's upper North Shore, the Asquith Club stands as a vibrant hub with a membership exceeding 2,700, drawn from the wider Hornsby Area and beyond.
Recently revitalised through renovations, the club boasts modern amenities that cater to a diverse clientele.
With a gaming installation featuring 40 EGMS, three meticulously manicured grass Bowling Greens, and a newly built outdoor deck alfresco area complemented by a dedicated kids play area, the Asquith Club is a place for the whole family.
At the heart of this small Club lies a committed team of 14 staff, contributing to an impressive annual turnover surpassing $2.7 million.
The Asquith Club is in search of an adept and forward-thinking General Manager (GM) to lead this small but dedicated team towards the pursuit of excellence.
This role is tailor-made for an individual who thrives on hands-on leadership, aspiring to be a success in the Club industry.
The successful candidate will be an adept problem-solver, pushing the boundaries of conventional thinking to ensure the Club's sustained success.
With an innate ability to connect with both members and the local community, you will be a visible presence during the Club's busiest days, fostering an atmosphere of warmth and friendliness.
The GM will play a pivotal role in steering the Board towards informed decisions that ensure the Club's long-term prosperity.
This role demands an all-rounder, proficient in areas ranging from marketing, human resources, gaming, food and beverage management (leveraging an excellent contracted caterer) to effective leadership and people management.
You will be someone who can drive culture and aim for continual improvement in this area.

You will be supported by the Board of Directors, Club Auditors, Club Administration team, Contract Caterers, Contracted Greens staff and if required, mentored by the outgoing GM.
The position would start early 2025.
Key Responsibilities & Skills: Build, nurture, and empower your teams to achieve exceptional results.Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.Leverage your business acumen to manage budgets, profit and loss, negotiations, networking, project leadership, governance, and risk reporting.Communicate well with customers and team members.Demonstrate a strong understanding of Registered Clubs Act, Liquor Act & Corporations Act.Uphold a high level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.Be confident in preparing monthly Board Agendas & Reports and delivering them at Board meetings.Show flexibility and availability across club operating hours.Proven track record in hospitality management as well as building, growing, and developing teams.RSA, RCG, Advanced RCG & Licensee Training.Good knowledge of registered club systems including TAB, Ebet, Ideal POS, Light House & Cellar Operations.Desired Expectations: Take a proactive stance in upholding a positive organisational culture rooted in core values, aligning with the club's vision and mission statement.Cultivate engagement and establish strong relationships within the local community.Instil loyalty among members and guests through the delivery of high-quality offerings, effective promotions, and clear communication.Actively contribute to shaping the club's business and marketing plans collaboratively with the Board.Proactively seek and identify opportunities for expanding membership and increasing foot traffic.Analyse business performance and trends to pinpoint opportunities for innovation and ensure long-term sustainability.Guarantee compliance with pertinent regulations, encompassing liquor and gaming, workplace health and safety (WHS), and employment standards.The Club is offering a remuneration package commensurate with applicants' experience.
