Primary Care Access Senior Support Officer Northern Queensland Primary Health Network – Mackay QLD
Position located in Cairns, Townsville, or Mackay.
Full Time, fixed term contract to 30 June 2027.
Salary Sacrifice options including up to $15,900 for living expenses.
The role
As a Primary Care Access Program Senior Support Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the efficient and effective operations of the Primary Care Access Program.
This includes delivering primary care reform initiatives, coordinating emergency response activities, and managing small grants.
You will also be responsible for capacity building, stakeholder engagement, event management, commissioning tasks, and providing business administration support as directed by the Northern Queensland Primary Health Network (NQPHN) Primary Care Access Manager.

The successful candidate will be able to:
Provide oversight of the NQPHN Primary Care Access programs activities including but not limited to the delivery of current and emerging primary care reform deliverables, emergency response activities, small grant management.
Provide stakeholder capacity building, engagement, event management, commissioning, and business administration including liaising with internal and external stakeholders and the timely collection of information.
Work effectively with the team to support the programs objectives.
Champion the application of the NQPHN Style Guide and support the team with the proofing and formatting of documents.
Champion the utilisation of business systems, including updating the customer relationship management system.
Undertake routine financial administrative tasks, including processing of invoices and small grant applications, using Microsoft Office suite.
Provide event management support ensuring the smooth functioning of events.
Actively contribute to a process of continuous quality improvement.
Actively support the implementation of the Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP).
Support data entry of customer and account data from source documents to our CRM.
Maintain records in a systematic, confidential, and secure manner.

Key selection criteria
A minimum of three years relevant work experience in a health-related role.
Previous experience working with the primary health care providers and/or the wider health sector.
Ability to perform business processes such as grant management, budget reconciliation and a range of communication and engagement processes.
The ability to effectively and efficiently manage and deliver health related projects and programs.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with high standard of professional presentation.
Good written communication skills, with demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and the ability to become proficient in other software programs as required.
Well-developed organisational and problem-solving skills.
A high level of attention to detail.
