Base pay range: A$200,000.00 / yr - A$230,000.00 / yr
Director at Compliance & Risk Management Recruitment P / L Working with a Hospitality group in Sydney that operates multiple venues across Greater Sydney.
They are currently seeking a Head of Legal reporting directly to the Chief Legal and Risk Officer.
The Head of Legal will oversee the organisation's legal framework, including governance, regulatory compliance, strategic projects and provide proactive, solutions-oriented legal advice to senior management and business units.
Great opportunity to come & build in-house counsel teamHybrid WorkingSouth West Sydney OfficeKey Duties Leading the organisation's legal function, providing expert legal advice and support on corporate, commercial, regulatory and risk-related matters.Developing, implementing, and maintaining legal frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.Handling contract negotiations, including drafting, reviewing, and managing a wide range of commercial agreements.Providing guidance and support on a wide variety of legal matters including privacy, intellectual property, employment law and corporate governance.Acting as a key advisor to senior leadership and the board on legal matters, supporting informed decision-making and strategic planning.Building, leading and mentoring the legal team, fostering a culture of excellence, integrity, and continuous development.Liaising with external counsel.About You Bachelor's degree in Law and admission to practice law in New South Wales.8+ years of experience in corporate, commercial or regulatory law, with a proven track record in a senior legal position.Strong knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, ideally with experience in a regulated industry.Proven experience in providing legal support on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, including contract negotiation and regulatory compliance.Demonstrated ability to advise senior management and boards on complex legal issues and provide strategic guidance.High level of integrity and accountability, with a strong ethical foundation and commitment to maintaining compliance standards.Leadership experience, including managing and developing a team of legal professionals and leading high performing teams.Please do not hesitate to send your resume through for consideration by clicking the 'apply now' button below, and feel free to contact Andrew Douglas on with any questions.
