With support from senior leads, you will guide and drive strategic decisions, ensuring the team is forward-thinking and delivers exceptional results.Key Responsibilities:Ensure excellence in end-to-end delivery of complex data engineering projects and programs for clients and internal products.Lead the design of technology solutions that meet business needs in terms of sustainability, scalability, performance, and security, ensuring alignment with client architecture and security standards.Oversee the design and development of database builds, integration projects, and change management across diverse clients, industries, and technologies.Manage, mentor, and develop the Data Engineering team, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.Collaborate with clients and project delivery teams to design data-oriented ELT/ETL projects tailored to client requirements.Implement, disseminate, and enforce Data Engineering methodologies, processes, and principles.Provide accurate project estimations, ensuring profitability and high team utilization as part of a profit-center-driven approach.Act as a client-facing representative, articulating technology deliverables in both technical and non-technical terms during key project calls, MSRs, and QBRs.Ensure seamless transition of projects and change requests from definition to delivery to BAU.Lead and support strategic initiatives such as Continuous Integration methodologies to enhance team capabilities.Experience and Skills:20+ years of experience in data engineering, including 3+ years of delivering large programs and migrations, with 5+ years of expertise in AWS Data services.
AWS Data Engineering certification is essential.Extensive knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and database development using technologies such as Oracle DB Server, Big Data/Hadoop, Teradata, Snowflake, Cloudera, or equivalent platforms.Proven ability to quickly adapt to new technologies, concepts, and approaches.Delivery experience in one or more areas, including:Enterprise-level Business-to-Consumer databases (Oracle Server, Postgres, MySQL, NoSQL, and In-memory).Cloud-based solutions within AWS and exposure to Azure, GCP, or private clouds.Migration of legacy hosted solutions to Cloud environments.Enterprise tools such as CRM, ERP, SAP.Mid-to-enterprise-level digital transformation programs.Enterprise BI/visualization tools (Tableau, Qlik, Power BI).Implementation of enterprise-level Data Management Platforms.Programs focused on processing and transforming Big Data.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical deliverables into clear business benefits.Strong awareness of documentation standards throughout the delivery lifecycle, holding stakeholders accountable for quality.Solid understanding of Cloud technologies and their applications (e.g., AWS, Azure, Oracle, Google).
