Engineering - Software (Information & Communication Technology) Build world class capability in your Dev Ops Chapter within Insurance Technology Coach, mentor, and inspire teams to increase capability and maturity Melbourne, Sydney, or Brisbane location About the role As the Lead of Insurance Technology Dev Ops Chapter, you will manage and mentor a highly skilled team of Dev Ops Engineers, driving innovation and operational excellence.
Your leadership will focus on increasing capability and maturity across Insurance Technology domains, including Continuous Planning, Development, Integration, Deployment, Testing, Delivery, Monitoring, and Feedback.
This role is central to enhancing our Dev Ops maturity and ensuring smooth technology delivery across the business.
What you'll do Working with Tribe Leads and Product Owners to oversee efficient allocation of Chapter members to Tribes and Platforms in line with needs Recruitment, development, and retention of Chapter members including career pathway development Providing an inclusive environment where Chapter members have freedom and safety to innovate, experiment, and learn Performance management including overseeing, providing feedback, and developing Chapter members Manage team performance to achieve departmental strategy, targets, goals, and budget What you'll bring 10+ years of technology experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles Previous background as a Dev Ops / Systems / Software Engineer Extensive experience with Dev Ops processes and cloud services (AWS) Proven ability to develop, coach, and engage technology professionals Excellent leadership skills in coaching, providing feedback, and handling difficult conversations Successful track record in managing distributed teams and partnerships, both offshore and onshore What we can offer you Competitive benefits package and excellent work culture Excellent discounts on a range of retail favourite stores as well as insurance products A range of flexible working and leave options, including 20 weeks paid parental leave and unlimited paid emergency response leave Invest in your brighter future with ongoing study support and career development programs About Suncorp Group We're proud to be a part of the Suncorp Group family alongside some of Australia's most trusted and diverse names in insurance.
