As a senior educator you'll work with a team of early childhood professionals to deliver SDN's innovative, high quality and inclusive program for children, while building strong, meaningful relationships with children and families, and delivering the support of the SDN village to their lives.
About you You will be a Diploma-qualified educator with a special interest in diversity and inclusion, have an excellent understanding of inclusive early childhood practice and a willingness to share your knowledge and to grow and learn.
About the team The team at SDN Bluebell focus on listening and responding to children.
The team value being in nature or in the centre's large, natural outdoor space.

Located in the heart of Belconnen with easy access to public transport, our small but established centre caters for 62 children per day.
About the role Your role will involve collaborating with children about their interests and supporting them by creating a stimulating environment.
As well as supporting the physical needs of children, you will assist in the observation and evaluation of the children's development, creating an environment which ensures trust and security and provides flexible routines and smooth transitions.
You will need Experience in a similar role A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care Demonstrated knowledge and experience of the Early Years Learning Framework Demonstrated knowledge and application of the National Quality Standards Working with Children Check and current Senior First Aid qualification Sound understanding of the development of children, their health, hygiene and nutritional needs Your benefits Above award pay and conditions Discounted childcare fees & priority placement for your children Professional training and development to support you to continue to learn and grow Paid lunch breaks Rostered day off per month (full-time staff) Generous leave entitlements Employee Assistance Program What it's like to work with our village At SDN, everyone is welcome and respected.
