Base pay range A$140,000.00/yr - A$160,000.00/yr

The Role
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the Financial Accounting Manager will join forces with several Finance Manager level peers each with specialist skills and unique perspectives.
Your primary focus is to provide accurate financial support to the business.
The position will be hands-on in nature ensuring best practice, driving process improvements, and contributing to the strategic direction of the business from a financial perspective:
Assist the preparation of half year and annual statutory accounts, including project manage and coordinate the Group audit process.
Assist with the Group consolidation for statutory accounting purposes, including but not limited to, eliminations, equity, detailed consolidation of PPE, intangibles and tax.
Drafting of technical accounting policies to cover various topics applicable to the business.
Responsible for application of new accounting standards, including leading the implementation of the standard.
Lead the accounting treatment process of ad hoc or new transaction types.
Lead the preparation of audit and compliance related documents.
Support the preparation of board and ARC reporting and any additional related documents as required.
Contribute to Group-wide accounting policies.
Managing multiple priorities and delivering continuous process improvements.
Assisting in ad-hoc projects related to financial reporting.
Assisting when required with the month-end procedures and supporting the Finance Team.
Skills & Experience
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting & Finance, Commerce or similar.
Chartered Accountant or CPA (prefer external audit experience, but strong, technical commercial expertise is highly regarded too).
Strong report writing and presentation skills.
Advanced experience in the creation and delivery of technical accounting papers.
Demonstrated experience in foreign operations and multi-currency consolidation would be considered favorably.
Strong knowledge of IFRS and AASB's.
Advanced analytical, problem solving and critical reasoning skills.
