The Manager, Operational Planning and Coordination - South Queensland is a key role in the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Operations South, providing a high level of support to the Deputy Commissioner, Operations South and the wider South Queensland leadership teams.
The role is responsible for undertaking research and analysis, providing recommendations, coordinating projects related to QAS operational responses and contributing to the achievement of QAS business objectives and service delivery.
We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes: Proven high level conceptual and problem-solving skills and the ability to understand, analyse, manipulate, and interrogate data from a wide range of sources and produce relevant, comprehensive reports.Highly developed time management skills with a demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple projects, in an environment of competing priorities and changing demands.Demonstrated leadership in and implementing organisational change and service system reform to ensure the service delivery systems are increasingly responsive to the needs of patients, workforce and stakeholders.Demonstrated innovative and contemporary achievements to contribute to strategic and operational outcomes.Proven capabilities and experience in strategic planning and the provision of policy advice, in particular, the ability to contribute to the development and implementation of operational policies, procedures, standards, and service improvement initiatives.Proven ability to lead and motivate others to produce high quality information and outputs/outcomes in an environment often requiring work completion within critical timelines.The following mandatory requirements, special conditions and/or other requirements apply to this role: Appointments to this position will require proof of qualification/s and current registration under the National Scheme, as determined by the Paramedicine Board of Australia.Applicants must have a minimum of an undergraduate degree in Paramedicine or Health Science (Paramedic); or an Associate Diploma of Applied Science (Ambulance); or equivalent qualifications as determined by the Commissioner, QAS.Applicants are required to hold an open Queensland "C" Class Driver's Licence (for a manual motor car).It is an express condition of employment for all people who are to perform roles with direct patient contact to be, and remain, vaccinated against the following infectious diseases during their employment: Diphtheria; Tetanus; Pertussis (Whooping Cough); Hepatitis B; Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR); Varicella (Chickenpox); Influenza.
