We are currently looking for Mine Deputies (Team Leaders) that want to build a lucrative career in the mining industry and secure a role with our western based operations – Airly Mine, Clarence Colliery and Springvale Colliery.At Centennial, we support your career growth by providing additional training and qualifications while you work leading to continual career development opportunities.
Our highly productive longwall and continuous mining operations maintain a strong focus on safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
Successful applicants will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and dedication to our internal safety culture.Close to the attractive Blue Mountains, Lithgow, Bathurst and Mudgee regions, there's a large range of relocation options for places to live, schools, services and recreational activities to enjoy.Reporting to the Shift Undermanager, your responsibilities will include:Carrying out inspections within your area of responsibilityParticipating in effective pre and post shift handoversCompleting shift reports precisely and accuratelyConducting pre-shift address with your crew members, ensuring their understanding and adherence to the shift plan and awareness of relevant hazards, and required controlsEnsuring health, safety and compliance issues are reported to the Undermanager and that crew members follow the correct reporting process on sitePositively influencing the working culture of your crew through driving urgency and ownership of results, and through coaching and mentoringCentennial is offering:Excellent above award wages and weekly bonusLifestyle friendly roster options available to balance your life and workAirly + Springvale - 3 x 12 hour shifts per week or Clarence - 4 x 10 hour shifts per weekPaid overtimeCareer development and training opportunitiesCollaborative and supportive team cultureSuitable candidates will have:NSW Deputy's Certificate of Competency / Mutual Recognition (or higher)NSW Deputy's Practising CertificateCompliance to the Learning and Completion Hours of the Maintenance of Competence for Practising CertificatesExcellent work ethic and attendance recordCommitment to site safety, operational practices, and mine production targetsStrong leadership experienceAbout CentennialCentennial Coal Company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Asia's largest independent Energy Group, Banpu Public Company Limited.
