CHC has an exciting opportunity for a Category Sourcing Specialist within its Indirect Category Team.
We are seeking an ambitious, forward-thinking Category Specialist that will be responsible for the development and execution of the procurement strategy for assigned categories of spend.
The successful candidate will be able to transform their skills to deliver cost savings through outstanding negotiation skills, strong financial & analytical skills and your ability to build strong relationships across the organization and with suppliers.
The Indirect Category is responsible for all categories of spend that do not attach to an aircraft, such as travel, credit card, facilities, IT, shop supplies, training, uniforms/work wear and other corporate services.
This position provides a unique opportunity to support a variety of spend categories within a global organization.
On any given day, you could be working with colleagues and suppliers from any of our locations, which may include Australia, Brazil, Canada, Ireland, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Scotland, and the US.
Key Responsibilities:
The Category Sourcing Specialist will demonstrate the following core competencies to execute the job responsibilities:
Become the 'go to' Category lead / expert for assigned category(ies) of spendDevelop and execute an annual procurement strategy for assigned categories of spend as well as procurement strategic for specific projectsEstablish strong relationships with stakeholders to partner on the strategy to effectively manage spend and identify opportunities for savings, prioritize initiatives and other improvementsFull visibility and ownership of local suppliers and contracts as well as assigned global areas of spendProactively analyze spend to identify opportunities for savings and effectively evaluate supplier proposalsLead the end-to-end sourcing process including building the project team, procurement strategy, gathering requirements, issuance of RFQ/RFP, evaluations, negotiations and contractingDocument and report on resultsEnsure contracts are transitioned into the vendor management phase and roles are clearly defined.
Effectively support the stakeholder in the vendor management process including running business reviews.Contract management including proactively addressing upcoming expirations and working with the stakeholders to ensure compliance to the contract.Support global programs in region including support of the travel, credit card, facilities and procurement programs as needed.General: Reporting of KPI, savings and other business or internal reviewsCollaboration and engagement with key stakeholders across CHC such as Finance, Legal, HR, Safety & QualityEnsure compliance to CHC Procurement and other relevant policiesOther duties as may be assignedQualifications, Skills, and Attributes: Minimum 5 years Supply Chain / Strategic Sourcing experienceStrong financial / analytical skill set.
Ability to analyze a large set of data and use the analysis to formulate strategies and opportunitiesOutstanding negotiation skills with proven experience and results in negotiating high value, complex contractsInnovation and Problem Solving, ability to think out of the box to find creative solutionsStrong business acumen with a high degree of professionalismAbility to develop strong relationships across the organization and external vendorsAdaptable to changing prioritiesProficient with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) and generating reportsAbility to demonstrate ethical conductStrong written and verbal communicationAvailability to international travelAt CHC we believe a diverse workforce makes us stronger.
