We are the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne, from ambulatory to inpatient and home and community-based services.Permanent positionPart time and full time appointments availablePatient Transport Assistant Grade 1-2 (IN18-IN19)Located at The AlfredGreat staff benefitsThe DepartmentAlfred Health Support Services provides non-clinical support services across Alfred Health, including cleaning services, car parking and fleet management, waste management, gardens and grounds, distribution, security and access control, ward support, linen services, ancillary services, food services, and hospitality.The RoleThe Ancillary Assistant will operate as part of the Alfred Health non-clinical services team, taking direction from the relevant ward staff and non-clinical support services coordinators/supervisors and performing tasks as allocated. The Ancillary Assistant will assist the portering service in providing and maintaining a safe, efficient, and least disruptive transfer of patients and equipment within the Hospital, meeting or exceeding industry best practice.
