About the role Based in our Subiaco office, we are seeking a proactive Pre-Contract Specialist who embodies our company values and standards, dedicated to maintaining high-quality work standards.
Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, your role will primarily focus on managing pre-contract activities for our operations in Australia.
This includes leading the preparation and evaluation of tender proposals, conducting thorough risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Your attention to detail and ability to negotiate favorable terms with vendors and subcontractors will be critical in achieving successful contract outcomes.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:
Ensure contracts (with Clients and lower-tier subcontractors) are reviewed and appropriately in line with Group commercial processes and principles.Negotiate contracts (internally and externally as required) through to contract execution.Assist in post-award kick-off meetings and handover of contract to the project team.Perform contractual health checks as required on various projects.Draft contractual responses as required to ensure risk is managed in line with group commercial principles.Provide commercial and contractual advice to Operations personnel.Liaise with Cost and Project Control personnel to ensure alignment with regards to commercial, contractual and time aspects of the project(s).Review and advise on contract performance, including but not limited to applications for payment, variations, risks, notices, claims, etc.Demonstrate a willingness and capability to perform other duties as deemed appropriate and consistent with your professional qualifications, skill, or experience.About you 5+ years' experience in contract management.Relevant tertiary qualification in an appropriate commerce, law, construction, engineering, Quantity Surveying or project management discipline.Demonstrated capability in contract management within the resources / construction industry.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Why you should work for Altrad We provide the benefits you'd expect from a global company, but what makes us different?
