If the answer is YES, the Sydney office of ACIL Allen is looking for a dynamic Economics Consultant like yourself to join our growing team.
About the roleAs an Economics Consultant in the Sydney Office, you will work across all aspects of its advisory portfolio, including:
Development of methodologies and proposalsGathering and analysing informationClient liaison and managementResearch, report writing, and stakeholder engagementA selection of our active and recent projects managed by the Sydney team include:
Developing a One-Sector Plan for the Australian Wine and Grape IndustryEstimating the economic impact of pests and diseases on Australian grain cropsEstablishing the value of precise geospatial positioningRegulatory Impact Statement on the phase-out of single-use plasticsWomen in STEM program evaluationACIL Allen provides all consultants with the opportunity to be involved in the full lifecycle of a client engagement, from developing scopes to presenting final reports and advice.

About youTo be considered for this position, you must:
Be able to work with economic, financial or other data and develop insights through your own analysis and unique perspectivesHave the capability to communicate the insights persuasively through our reporting tools and in meetings and conversations with current and prospective clientsWork both independently and as part of a team to shape the advice we provideHave a well-rounded skillset which allows you to work across all facets of advisory practiceExperience in economics or public policy advice in a consulting or advisory environment, given our current and prospective book of workAbout your qualifications and skills2 to 4 years experience in economics and/or public policy in a consulting, government-funded service, or advisory environment. Tertiary qualification in a quantitative or economics-based discipline (such as Mathematics, Econometrics, Statistics, or Economics), or in public policy or public administration.
Advanced level of Microsoft Excel, with expertise in other analytical toolkits desirable.
