The Associate Director, Mobile IP Core leads a team of multidisciplinary engineers responsible for the end-to-end Mobile Transport service in the Mobile IP Transport Core. The role's objective is to design, grow, lifecycle manage, and maintain the capacity and performance of the Mobile IP Core Transport Network to meet the requirements of the Mobile Consumer line of business. This includes customer experience (capacity, performance, and availability), financial (capital and operating expenditure), and regulatory (security) compliance.
Your day in the life of an Associate Director, Mobile IP Core at Optus Develop the Mobile IP Core Transport Network AOP scope and budget to support Consumer Mobile.Ensure end-to-end capacity planning and performance of the Mobile Transport Service and Transport Network.Oversee the end-to-end Solution Design (IP connectivity and security design) for services transiting the Mobile Access and Mobile IP Core transport networks.Support Tier 3 lead investigations and incident reviews.Drive a reduction in long-term unit cost while meeting CX KPIs with support from Architecture, Deployment, and Finance teams.Provide recommendations and set the strategic direction of the Mobile IP Core Transport Network.Your skills to pay the bills Proven experience in leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.Strong knowledge of IP Transport Networks, with deep understanding of associated Security architecture and related technologies.Extensive experience delivering business needs while dealing with challenging priorities and resource constraints.A natural influencing and negotiating agreements with internal and external partners to enable delivery of business objectives.Up to date with the latest telecommunication transmission technology and standards.Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.Strong process and technical transformation experience.Perks we love at Optus 3 days in the office, 2 days remote – with flexible hours to suitInclusive paid parental leave, up to 14 weeks for the primary caregiver.All Optus employees have access to resources, webinars and support via the 'Parents at Work portal'.Own your own growth by accessing an extensive online and facilitator-led learning catalogue – even earn a MBA micro-credential via OptusU (University).Connect at work through one of our employee-led volunteer groups: Culture Connect, Elevate Women, Disability Network, Express Yourself (LGBTQIA+), United Veterans and Yarn Network.Vibrant campus life, variety of facilities including restaurants, cafes, gymnasium, GP, and post office.Two easy travel options to Sydney Campus: Optus bus from Sydney CBD (20min travel time) and Macquarie University Metro Station (every 6-8 minutes); morning and afternoonKeen to see what it's really like to work at Optus?
