Your new roleReporting to the Commercial Manager (Pricing), the Commercial Pricing Specialist is responsible for ensuring the Home Claims & Assessing team cost-controls tools, processes, systems, governance, and reporting reflect the group strategy and market conditions.
Essentially, utilise your experience to ensure supplier pricing and equipment is fair and reasonable to closely manage the claims cost of the insurer.
Pricing catalogue – assist the Commercial Manager Pricing in managing and updating the company building price catalogue, ensuring competitive rates, compliance with quoting methodologies, and reporting non-compliance trends.Data analytics & reporting – manage building cost outcomes and builder performance by establishing standardized cost benchmarks and linking with Strategic Commercial for effective reporting on the company's building cost control strategy.Builder rates – monitor submitted network builder rates against the company's approved rates, collate industry data for quarterly reviews, and conduct file reviews to identify performance and process improvement opportunities.Commercial – collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement supplier management strategies, advanced commercial techniques, and systems to monitor contract deliverables and service levels, while driving value creation and category management improvements.What you'll need to be successful Construction trade qualifications OR working in a similar position is essential.Preferably with 2+ years general insurance industry experience.Ability to report/communicate information to stakeholders at all levels from frontline to senior executives.Understanding of risk culture and how these frameworks could apply to this position.Understanding of basic procurement and supplier management practices.Proven analytical/problem-solving capability and excellent attention to detail.Computer competence (skills testing may be required).Completion of a background check during the interview process and prove full working rights in Australia.The perks Regular salary reviews.Paid training.Additional days of leave – you'll receive a paid 'ME' day and one paid volunteer leave day annually.Option to purchase up to two additional weeks of leave per year.Paid parental leave.Continuous development opportunities.Insurance discounts & employee benefits.High performance is rewarded ($$$).Celebrate success – regular social & community activities including annual celebrations, family fun days, and events across each of the sites.What you need to do nowIf you are interested in this new opportunity please apply directly, or for a confidential discussion please contact Samuel Longfield from Fuse Recruitment on .
