We are seeking highly skilled Floor Finishers to join our team on a full time and permanent basis
The role includes but is not limited to:
Reading plans and instructions of specific projectsMeasuring areas to be covered and consulting plans to estimate quantities of floor covering materials requiredPreparing surfaces for covering and removing baseboard trimsRemoving existing flooring and discarding of this material, if applicableClearing the work surface from dust, debris, and obstructionsPreparing the work surface by applying adhesive, grouting, or other appropriate materialsMeasuring, cutting and fixing underlay materialsLaying coverings, such as wood, carpets, linoleum, parquetry blocks, cork tiles and other resilient flooring materials, over floors, matching patterns, cutting shapes around fixtures and trimming edgesSecuring floor coverings and fitting edge trims in doorwaysSanding, staining and applying finishing coatings to timber floorsCompleting the installation by applying appropriate finishesMay install wall, ceiling, counter and bench coveringsManaging stock of components partsManaging quality control of all productsEnsure safe workplace, general warehouse upkeepTo be considered for this role, you must have the following:
Trade qualifiedKnowledge in operating wide range of hand tools and power toolsStrong attention to detail and the ability to conduct quality checks on completed workAbility to work independently or as part of a team to complete assigned tasksKnowledge of safety procedures and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplaceStrong communication skillsExcellent reporting skillsSelf-motivated, organised, punctual and reliableMust have great work ethicsIf you meet the above criteria and would like to be considered for this position, please apply now
