Coordinator - Outside School Hours Care

The Y Queensland stands together with all people regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, or belief. We are currently recruiting for a Coordinator on a full-time basis, 38 hours per week to lead our newest service at Outside School Hours Care (OSHC), which is opening in January 2025.
About the role In this position, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the service and the management of a team of Educators.
You will receive support from a dedicated management team, consisting of your fellow Coordinators, Senior Coordinator, Area Coordinator, Regional Manager, and the OSHC Manager.
As the OSHC Coordinator, you will be responsible for: The development of quality programsManaging the day-to-day running of the programsCoordinating staffing and rosteringEnsuring compliance with policyUndertaking administrative requirementsWorking collaboratively with families and the school communityAs the OSHC Coordinator, you should have: Completed (or close to completing) a relevant qualification in Childcare or Teaching (minimum - Diploma of Children's Services)Sound experience in assisting with programming and a passion for providing quality childcareA strong ability to deliver excellent customer serviceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsA valid First Aid and CPR certification, or the willingness to obtain themA current Blue Card, or the willingness to obtain oneAbout the team YMCA Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) services care for children before school, after school, and during holidays across 50+ school sites throughout South East Queensland.

About your workplace at the Y YMCA Wavell Heights Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) is located in the Wavell Height State School, surrounded by beautiful greenery and parks.
The service has exclusive areas for indoor and outdoor activities for the students as well as easy access to the oval for expansive physical programs.

We believe in the importance of spontaneous, multi-age play in middle childhood.
