An exciting role is now available for a Head of Supply Chain to join and lead our Supply Chain team.
Reporting into our CFO & Supply Chain Director, this role will be responsible for managing the overall Supply Chain function of Sapphire Group's products including all suppliers and procurement of goods, with a focus on maintaining product quality.
This role has 4 direct reports and is a permanent full-time position.
What you'll do:
Design and implement a management and reporting framework for supply management Ensure end to end management of suppliers and performance (this includes process, design and reporting) Establish and sett contracts as well as KPI's for key suppliers Oversee the procurement of all components by the Demand planning team Ensure effective risk management of all raw material components through secondary suppliers or risk management plans Nurture and develop Supplier relationships which will be used to improve service delivery and reduce lead times Ensure production planning to be undertaken by the team based on supply of raw materials and working with Operations Team To communicate, participate and contribute at senior management meetings and strategic reviews.
Team leadership of the Supply Chain and Procurement team, ensuring procurement function is effective Develop and implement short,medium and long-term strategic plans in line with the company objectives Ensure that efficiencies are maximized with Sapphire Group suppliers such as; Establish and maintain supply contracts, constantly negotiate best possible price for all raw materials, improve lead times, reduce & optimise working capital, improve payment terms, conduct regular audits of new and existing suppliers to meet company standards, secure costs to target and KPI's and manage Inbound Freight costs & efficiencies Who you are:
Tertiary degree in one of Business, Commerce, Engineering, Science or other appropriate qualifications Must have a proven track record of success in Operations, Supply Chain management / senior management roles in previous organisations and must be in manufacturing of high volume consumer goods preferably in cosmetics, beauty or FMCG Must display understanding of the impact of supply chain operations on the P&L of the business Experience managing local and international Suppliers (specifically China) and negotiating supply agreements Must have significant experience in inventory systems, sales forecasting, order despatch and delivery systems Must be an excellent communicator (verbal and written) Must have high-level planning, negotiation and organisation skills Must have highly developed problem solving skills Must have high level computer skills in Microsoft office Sounds like you, then send us your cv
