Join our team as a Day Shift Maintenance Fitter (Monday-Friday) at our Austral Bricks Plant in Rochedale, QLD.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently performing emergency, project and preventative maintenance of machinery and equipment.Duties include but are not limited to:Examine faulty machinery and equipment for defects.Ensure safe working conditions and compliance to all WHS policies and procedures.Use hand tools to fit and assemble parts, which require knowledge of principles of mechanics.Ensure plant mechanical assets are fully maintained to promote efficient operation of equipment.Complete planned, unplanned and requested maintenance tasks effectively.Perform fault-finding analysis and diagnosis of maintenance issues and undertake problem solving to resolve/repair issues to minimise impact on production.Liaise with management, supervisors, maintenance team and operators to resolve breakdowns and perform preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.Conduct proactive breakdown analysis and identify plant problem areas.Work in accordance with industry standards, legislation, codes of practice and company procedures.Success Requirements:Mechanical Fitting Trade qualification.Strong knowledge of welding fabrication standards.Experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, and robotics (desirable).Ability to interpret schematic drawings, plans, and specifications.Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.Proficiency in working with maintenance systems.Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.Strong time management and organisational skills.Effective multitasking to minimize downtime.Why join us?Recognition: Celebrate success with Employee of the Year and Values Recognition Programs.Charitable Partnership: Proudly support Children's Cancer Institute (CCI).Inclusivity: We value diversity and maintain an inclusive workplace.Family Support: Enjoy our company parental leave scheme.Employee Benefits: Join the Brickworks Employee Share Plan (for eligible employees).Growth: Ongoing education, training, and career progression opportunities for all employees.Support: Access support programs for you and your family through our EAP provider.Discounts: Product Discounts are provided for staff and family and friends of staff.Who we are:Brickworks is one of Australia's largest and most diverse building material manufacturers, housing some of Australia's best-known building material brands.
