Our clients are looking for estimators at all levels – from Junior to Senior – with expertise in civil roads, bulk earthworks, and demolition.
About the Role: As a Civil Estimator, you will play a key role in the preparation and submission of tenders for major civil projects, working across roads, bulk earthworks, and demolition.
You will join dynamic teams within well-established companies that value your expertise and offer plenty of room for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for civil projects (roads, bulk earthworks, demolition).
Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to develop a comprehensive understanding of scope and requirements.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather cost data and assess project feasibility.
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.
Ensure all estimates are submitted on time and in line with company standards and client expectations.
Attend site visits to assess conditions and gather relevant information for cost estimation.
Contribute to continuous improvement in estimating processes and practices.
About You: We are open to estimators from various backgrounds and levels of experience, including Junior, Mid-Level, and Senior roles.
To be successful, you will ideally have:
Junior Estimators: A relevant qualification in civil engineering or construction management, with some experience in civil estimating (internships or project experience in roads, bulk earthworks, or demolition).
Mid-Level Estimators: Solid experience in estimating for civil projects, specifically roads, bulk earthworks, or demolition.
Strong understanding of construction methodologies and cost estimation processes.
Senior Estimators: Extensive experience in civil estimating, including proven success in managing large-scale tenders.
In-depth knowledge of cost management, contract conditions, and project delivery.
Ability to mentor junior staff and lead estimating teams.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Proficiency in estimating software and MS Excel.
