About the role:
Based in Moorabbin in Melbourne and reporting to the APAC Chief Financial Officer, we are looking for a skilled and driven Operations Controller to join our Finance team. In this role, you will oversee the financial operations at our sites based in Perth, Brisbane and Melbourne, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting our operations team in financial reporting. You will be a key leader, contributing to the success of our site's operations while ensuring compliance and efficiency.

What you will need to do:
Prepare annual plant budgets and monthly forecasts in consultation with plant managers. Work with plant managers to provide weekly updates on expected monthly financial outcomes. Support finance team with month-end processing, reporting and analysis in relation to operational sites. Offer strategic financial guidance and counsel to operational management. Identify financial operational opportunities and risks and devise plans to optimize/mitigate outcomes. Manage capex proposals, oversight of the process and reporting. Manage fixed asset processing and reporting. Prepare and analyse brass costing and swarf pricing for the casting operations. Oversee monthly casting and recycling plant stocktakes and reconciliations. Prepare production reporting and analysis in relation to casting and recycling. About you:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 5+ years of related experience. Excellent financial modeling and MS Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups, sumifs, index match). Strong analytical, problem-solving, conceptual, and critical thinking skills. Experience with SAP, Business Objects, OneStream, is a plus. Prioritises workload, meets deadlines and manages competing priorities under pressure. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to be a team player and partner across various functions within an organisation.
